Love this song “What you don’t have you don’t need it now, what you don’t know you can feel it somehow”
Your least favourite character.
For me, I think this is Coin. It’s so depressing how people could carry on repeating all the same mistakes out of greed, despite all the lives lost.
Okay, so I read all The Hunger Games books in less than 3 days, so I’m kind of addicted. Thought I’d do this 30 day challenge. Sorry for your boredom in advance!
Day 1: Your favourite character
I’m going to have to adapt this to character(s) because this question is too hard for me. Katniss really reminds me of myself, not in a boastful manner but in her cynicism and confusion in her feelings. The fact that her love for people is so strong, like volunteering for Prim, but she’s not as okay with showing her feelings as other characters and makes a lot of mistakes at how she goes about relating to people. She has a strong sense of determination but underneath a real frailty which she tries not to let people see, and who can’t relate to that really?
But I must admit a big soft spot for Peeta. I think there are some people in life who love so unconditionally, who remain a sense of hope no matter what goes on and I think they’re amazing. He has qualities I wish I had in myself and I think his character is absolutely essential for the storyline. Peeta is really a reason and focus to keep on going for Katniss and a reminder of her identity even when they’re in inhumane conditions.
Haymitch is so broken, but so strong at the same time I can’t help but adore him as a character. I really think the characters’ weaknesses make you fonder of them than their strengths in some ways.

"I think it’s pretty apparent that we’re not cool… I’m saying it. It’s too much goddamned effort to be cool man, I don’t wanna be cool. It’s work, and you peak real early and then the rest is just downhill. It’s cool to be the weirdo, we found each other that way."

Went to see Taming of the Shrew - RSC for my birthday! It was absolutely amazing. I will write about it in more depth, but don’t have time now.
Also, went to see Going Dark - Sound&Fury today.. wow. What a moving piece of theatre. If I get chance I’ll write some more about this too.
